Switching Sensors

Switching sensors are used when detection of two positions is required, i.e. whether a target object is present or not, also known as an attendance check, when the intermediate positions are not relevant. Switching sensors provide a 'binary digital' output voltage, either maximum output voltage or zero output, corresponding to the object present or not. This allows for lower cost, simpler technology and often no requirement for media contact.
