The ASSURIX intrinsically safe sensor series can be used in hazardous areas 1 and 2. An ASSURIX sensor must always be operated with an intrinsically safe and isolated switching amplifier.

- Light is allowed to enter Ex Zones 0 and 20 (ISD types only)
- Wide range up to 15m

- Versions with teach-in function available
- Different add-on optics available, such as polarisation filters
- Compatible to interchangeable optics such as polarization filter, which highly reduce the unwanted influence of reflections from arbitrary objects (not the retro-reflector)
- Functional display on the back (easy to see)
- IDENTIX derivatives available featuring teach-in function to the retro-reflector (e.g. IDX-2XC-IDX-OP with 2m range or ISD-5XC-IDX-OP with 5m range)
