When using conveyor belts under high temperatures or in hazardous areas, the requirements for electronics as well as measuring devices are extremly high. Nevertheless, a fault-free off-track run must be ensured, because a fault can lead to considerable damage to the whole system.
For these special requirements, Tippkemper-Matrix offers a wide range of optoelectronic sensors and measuring systems to fulfill the individual requirements of the customer. With the help of the sensors as well as suitable light guides from Tippkemper-Matrix, it is possible to realise an off-track detection under the most adverse conditions.

With the help of sensors, measuring systems and light guides specially developed for hazardous areas, it is possible to guarantee a safer process. For instance, Proximity Switches from the IRS-LA / IRN-LA / IRD-LA Series would be suitable for off track detection, and the ISD-LA Series for web edge regulation.
With the use of cross-section converters, such as the QW Series Light Barrier, the misalignment of a conveyor belt can be detected over a distance of ± 30 mm with an accuracy of ± 0.1 mm up to Ex Zone 0 or Zone 20. Because of the variable light guide length, the sensor can be mounted up to Zone 1.
